We are using the same config file on 2 production servers running autostore workflow 6. Our Ricoh ESA licenses are distributed across both servers.
Because we have different menus on the Ricoh ESA component, with device IP address determining what menu each device gets, we have turned off the autoupdate setting inside the component, else both servers will "steal" the Ricoh devices from each other and cause licensing problems.
Problem: We occasionally have various models of Ricoh MFDs, where the Autostore java application stop running. We then have to go into device manager and update menus (or "Start") to get it working again. We assume this is because we aren't using the autoupdate feature .
Question: When I update menus in the Ricoh ESA Device Manager, I notice there is an "Update Interval" setting. Does that mean that if I leave the device manager open on the server, that it will automatically update menus on my devices? If so, that could help resolve our configuration problem.
Thanks!
